The hardest decision I ever made

Distance has been a friend

But our memory cuts like a blade.

Its the day you were born

And I could never really forget

But you wouldn’t remember I bet.

When being with you had me exhaust.

I pray for your mental health 

And an even stronger soul

May you become honest

And reach all your dream goals.

I pray for you to be a better person

The one who pauses and acts

May you find peace at heart

To live life with facts. 

These are your true wealth

And may these wishes find a way to you

Because hearing you would break me

And I’ve come far, being away from you. 

I’ve cared in a way I have never

You were a friend and not a foe

I wish I could be the same in yours

But you had other plans Mr. Rebello.
